1. Rates and currencies
The rates which are mentioned in Euro’s will be convert to Sri Lankan rupees according to the international exchanging rate with a minimum rate of 1 € is 165 SL Rupees in case the hotel and restaurant-invoice will be paid in SL Rupees.

2. Booking, confirmation and guarantees


Please note that Villa Kusum always will require a completed reservation-form that you can find on our website or your private address and a email and phone number.
b. After Villa Kusum received your booking you will receive a proposal or a reservation for your booking and you receive the invoice. We request an advance payment.
c. After you have paid the advance, Villa Kusum will send you a confirmation that the payment is received.
d. With this confirmation, you have the guarantee that the booked suite or room is available for you.
e. Even last minutes bookings can only be confirmed after the advance payment is received.

3. Advance
As a guarantee for the guests and for Villa Kusum we require an advance that is as much as possible, friendly for both parties.
With the booking we ask for an advance as followings:
a. In general the advance is 50% of the invoice.
b. For special bookings, Villa Kusum can request an adapted advance system.

Advance should be paid, after you received the confirmation and invoice. The balance should be paid 3 weeks before arrival or in agreed special occasions at arrival in cash.
4. Cancellation
We have tried to make a cancelation policy as much as customer friendly and reasonable for the guests and Villa Kusum.
a. The advance is refundable when the cancelation will be done prior two month before the arrival date minus 100 € cancelation fee and the incurred bank charges.
b. When the cancellation will be done within two month and three weeks before the arrival date then there will be no restitutions of the advance be done.
c. When the cancellation will be done within 3 weeks before the arrival date then there will be no restitutions of the advance and balance payment be done.
d. Villa Kusum is proud on their personal touch service and will act in case of cancellation like that. When the cancellation has to be done because of a personal urgent reason, Villa Kusum will be reasonable to cancel the booking, especially when a new booking from the same guests can be done or the suite/room can be rented out for new guests.
e. In any case Villa Kusum will charge by cancellation 100 € cancelation fee and the incurred bank charges.
f. Please contact Villa Kusum as soon as possible when you have to cancel your booking.

Villa Kusum recommends a good travel insurance which protects you for financial consequences of such unexpected situations.


5. Check in and check out times
Check in and check out times are usually at 12 noon. Different check in/check out times on request.

6. Methods of payments
Payments can be done on a European bank account in The Netherlands at the ING bank, in Sri Lankan at a bank account at the Commercial Bank or cash in Villa Kusum in SL rupees, Euros or US Dollars. Villa Kusum has no credit card facilities. In Hikkaduwa are ATM machines.
